SATAN'S FOOD

Updated: Dec 14, 2023

THE FOOD OF SATAN IS DIRT! “For as long as you live, you will crawl on your stomach and eat dirt” (Gen. 3:14,b, CEV). MAN IS SATAN’S FOOD! “You were made out of soil, and you will once again turn into soil” (Gen. 3:19b, CEV). “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8, CEV). Building on the thought of dirt, CHRIST’S WORK IS SAVING DIRT (MAN). And so, the ground (man) will be under a curse because of what you (ADAM) did. As long as you live, you will have to struggle to grow enough food. Your food will be plants but the ground will produce thorns and thistles. You will sweat all your life to earn a living…” (Gen..3:17b-19a, CEV,emphasis added). “The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit” (1 Cor. 15:45, NIV). Satan has taken the struggle of man to put on the table to keep body (physical) and soul together, and convinced man that his spiritual struggle is to save himself. I see the work of Christ as threefold: 1. Providing Salvation - “The Son of man came to seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10). It’s His work, not ours. “You or saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God‘s gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn’t something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about. God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. This is why he sent Christ to make us what we are” (Eph. 2:8-10, CEV). 2. Producing Fruit - “I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I stay joined to you, then you will produce lots of fruit. But you cannot do anything without me” (John 15:5b, CEV).

"For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life" (Ephesians 2:10, BSB). 3. Praying For Us - “And Christ Jesus is the one who died - more than that, who is raised – who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us” (Romans 8:34b, CEV). (cf. 1John 2:1; Hebrews 7:25)
