The Story
My name is Garry Harris, former minister (I'm a has-been), retired Letter Carrier with the USPS (34 years), and retired Realtor. My dad was a career military man (Army), so I also qualify as a former military brat. And boy, is that an understatement. I became a married man for the first time at the age of 57 to a beautiful woman by the name of Wanda. I became a husband, dad (daughter & son), and granddad [2 when we first married - 4 more since] in one fell swoop. When my wife told her dad that she was dating a 55 year old man who had never been married, he had only one thing to say to her - RUN!!! Thankfully, God overruled her dad. I am highly blessed and favored. Pictured below are some of my blessings.
There are times when reading the Bible the Holy Spirit reveals to me truths that are like flashes of His glory. On other occasions, when I'm going through difficult times or struggling with questions, I hear whispers deep within my spirit telling me of His love and concern for my every need. My reasons for starting this blog are several. My main purpose is to glorify God. I am a student of the Word with a desire to share what the Holy Spirit reveals to me, in hopes that it will help, encourage, and challenge those who choose to read them. I am an aspiring writer, and hopefully, by posting blogs, it will hone my skills, if I have any.
